Can you share a significant challenge or obstacle you've faced in the industry and how you overcame it?

When I started my business, I knew that building a strong reputation would be crucial. My approach centered around delivering exceptional quality and maintaining a high standard of customer service. I made it a priority to consistently exceed client expectations, which helped establish a solid foundation of trust and reliability.

Networking played a significant role in this process. By connecting with industry executives  , I was able to enhance our credibility and reach a broader audience. I also actively sought feedback from our customers, which allowed us to continuously improve our services and adapt to their needs.

Our marketing efforts were designed to reinforce our brand’s commitment to quality and reliability. This consistency in our messaging helped to build a recognizable and respected brand in the market. As a result, we’ve seen substantial growth in our client base and received numerous positive testimonials, which have been instrumental in further strengthening our reputation."

What advice would you give to your younger self or to our younger generations who are looking to break into the industry?

I would tell my younger self to embrace confidence and trust in your abilities, even when faced with doubt. Surround yourself with a supportive network of  people who uplift and challenge you. Don’t be afraid to take risks and learn from failures; each setback is an opportunity for growth. Finally, remember that authenticity is your greatest asset—stay true to yourself and your vision.

Many women in business face the challenge of balancing personal and professional life. How have you managed to navigate this balance as a female entrepreneur?

I personally was a single mom and was fortunate enough to have my mother to help me with my son. This being said - when I started the business I hired women for the face of the company but if they had children, I wanted to make sure they were there for their children. A lot of mom’s do not have help like I did.

Have you experienced any biases or stereotypes as a woman in your industry, and how have those experiences shaped the way you lead and run your business?

Yes, I’ve definitely encountered biases and stereotypes as a woman in my industry. These experiences have made me more aware of the importance of inclusivity and representation, prompting me to prioritize diverse voices in my decision-making. They've also strengthened my resolve to challenge norms and advocate for women in leadership roles. Ultimately, these challenges have shaped my leadership style, encouraging me to foster a supportive environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute.

What’s a misconception people have about being a female founder that you’d like to address?

One common misconception about female founders is that they are often perceived as being less capable or serious than their male counterparts. In reality, female entrepreneurs bring unique perspectives and strengths that are essential to innovation and business success. Many women navigate significant challenges, including bias and limited access to funding, which can actually enhance their resilience and problem-solving skills. Addressing these misconceptions is crucial for fostering a more inclusive and equitable entrepreneurial landscape.

What strategies do you use to maintain your personal identity outside of your role as a business leader?

One approach I take to manage my team and maintain high morale is to ensure open communication. I hold weekly team meetings and individual check-ins to stay connected with everyone’s progress and concerns. I also prioritize recognizing achievements, whether through a shout-out during meetings or small rewards for exceptional work.
